Go ahead and grab that sunscreen, put on your shades, and start hydrating because we’re headed to PONCA CITY!
So mark your calendars, folks! This year's event will take place in downtown Ponca City, Oklahoma, on June 1st, 2024 from 12-8pm! Please join us as we celebrate the revealing of over THIRTY brand spanking new murals, created by over thirty artists from both Oklahoma and around the globe! You can expect a rockin’ stage lineup full of music, performances, dancers, and more,the best-ever local vendor market, delicious food trucks, kids & community activities, and so much more! Never forget, this is a FREE and family friendly event!

Subjects and themes that inspire me are nature, like birds, snakes, and bugs, tarot, the sun and the moon and the stars, and a dash of the macabre.”

SUNNY DAYZ ROUND 2 IS BACK AND YOU'RE INVITED!!!
Mark your calendars, folks! This year's event will be take place in Downtown Edmond, Oklahoma, on August 6th, 2022 from 12-8pm! There will be THIRTY ONE new murals created across a two-block radius spanning from 4 E Ayers St. to 111 N Broadway! You can expect a glorious day of live painting, stage lineup full of music and performances, lots of local vendors, food trucks, kids activities, and more! Exact schedule and site map will be released later this summer.

The single-day inaugural event will be located at 925 W Britton Rd, OKC, and is projected to bring together over 5k attendees, artists, press and more. There will be live painting, music, vendors, food trucks, and more!

ASK Workshop: Equitable Art Events with the Sunny Dayz Team
Equitable Arts Events with the Sunny Dayz Team
OVAC is partnering with the team behind Sunny Dayz Mural Festival to bring you a workshop on how to plan equitable arts events in your community.
At the end of the workshop, participants will know how to:• Identify needs in your art community• Clarify how you can define your strengths and help meet those needs• Pitch your idea to the right partners• Look for ways to make events accessible for everyone involved• Practice developing an event through small group work
About Sunny Dayz: The first-of-its-kind in Oklahoma, Sunny Dayz Mural Festival exists to empower, elevate and celebrate self-identifying women and non-binary artists and muralists through the creation and advocacy of public art. Our core values include a commitment to equitable opportunity and wages, dedicated wall space to “newbies” regardless of age, and the initiation of our high school mentorship program. BIPOC Artists: Two OVAC scholarships are available for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to attend each ASK workshop free-of-charge. Scholarships are given on a first-come, first-serve basis. To allow for many artists to take advantage of this option, individuals will be limited to a maximum of two (2) scholarships per fiscal year (July-June). Tickets are available for purchase online until July 28 at 12pm, or at the door.
Masks are required to attend this event in person at the Paseo Arts Association (3024 Paseo, OKC, OK 73103). Participants also have the option to sign on via Zoom. Email audrey@ovac-ok.org for the Zoom registration link.

Hey there wonderful humans! We’ve got another event coming up...THIS FRIDAY we are going to be throwing a mega party down at Equity Brewing Co. for their grand opening AND THE RELEASE OF OUR SUNNY DAYZ IPA!!!
You can expect:
• mural reveal in the tap room and live mural painting on the dumpster outside☀️
• a group art show by some of our 2021 Sunny Dayz artists☀️
• a grand ole toast talking about our partnership, the new murals, and the show
• delicious beer, live music, and great company☀️

"Women in the Arts" Panel Discussion
Sunny Dayz is hosting a wonderful “Women in the Arts” panel on Wednesday, June 30th from 6-8pm! This will take place at Allsweet Studios - 414 NW 7th St, OKC!
This will be an in-person event and all are welcome. We will also be having a livestream option right here on Facebook and Instagram!
We’ve got a great lineup of Oklahoma artists who will be discussing the experiences related to being a woman working in the arts. This will be a mediated conversation followed by a Q&A!
