Sunny Dayz Mural Festival is heading to Shawnee in 2027, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, community-minded humans to join our Festival Planning Committee!
Committee members help bring the festival to life. The team will be in charge of dreaming up programming and community experiences, supporting artists, building local partnerships, spreading the word, and getting into the nitty-gritty of making a big, joyful arts festival happen! Whether you’re an arts professional, a community organizer, a local business owner, a longtime Sunny Dayz fan, or just someone who loves bringing people together, we want you on the team!
No special résumé required - just a willingness to collaborate, contribute your ideas, and get a little obsessed with making Shawnee’s 2027 festival something special.

Sunny Dayz Mural Festival is seeking committed, community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about public art, community development, equity in the arts, and the long-term cultural and economic impact of creative placemaking. Board members provide leadership, strategic guidance, and support in areas such as fundraising, community partnerships, governance, and organizational growth.
You do not need to be an artist to serve on the board. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds.
Sunny Dayz is built on collaboration, and our board reflects that same spirit of shared investment in community and creativity.
